You examined the Cal TPA rubrics (criterion and levels), and we reflected upon our practice as a teacher (student teacher, independent teacher, or other facilitation of learning environments) and how we plan to grow with respect to maintaining effective environments for student learning and the area of planning instruction and designing learning experiences for all students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Instructions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Resources<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">First, watch the following videos:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/Q6niuYToam4\" target=\"_blank\">Building a Belonging Classroom<\/a>&nbsp;&#8211; Video<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/T9ynlPs_NTM\" target=\"_blank\">Creating a Positive Learning Environment<\/a>&nbsp;&#8211; Video<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then, read and examine&nbsp;<strong>each<\/strong>&nbsp;TPA Cycle 1 Rubric (1.1 \u2013 1.8) to build context for the expectations within the TPA (Criterion and level descriptors)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/nu.libguides.com\/CalTPA\/home\" target=\"_blank\">CalTPA: California Teaching Performance Assessment<\/a>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Select the &#8220;Cycle One&#8221; tab that applies to your credential program.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select Assessment Guide button.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the Performance Assessment Guide link.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Review Rubrics 1.1 \u2013 1.8 criterion and level descriptors within the &#8220;Performance Assessment Guide&#8221; resource.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Finally, watch the following videos:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/8ctpR-fUwp8\" target=\"_blank\">Teaching to the TPEs: TPE 2<\/a>&nbsp;&#8211; Video<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/nIvRgv4CRwU\" target=\"_blank\">Teaching to the TPEs: TPE 4<\/a>&nbsp;&#8211; Video<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Prompt<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After watching the&nbsp;<em>Teaching to the TPEs: TPE 2<\/em>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<em>TPE 4<\/em>&nbsp;videos,&nbsp;<strong>critically<\/strong>&nbsp;reflect upon the content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In alignment with UDL guidelines, we could choose differing products to showcase our work based upon learning style and preference. We could create a graphic organizer, written paper, PowerPoint presentation, or video reflection in which we:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Discuss<\/strong><em> each<\/em>\u00a0level, 1-5, for TPEs 2 and 4.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Summarize<\/strong>&nbsp;the instructional strategies present in each level.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Compare<\/strong>&nbsp;the differences between each level.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reflect upon our own practices.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Discuss<\/strong>\u00a0our typical classroom practices in the areas of TPE 2 and TPE 4. (For example, as a teacher what level proficiency do you usually function at for TPE 2 based upon the videos and rubric criterion within Rubric 1.5 specifically.
