{"id":630,"date":"2024-04-14T11:55:05","date_gmt":"2024-04-14T18:55:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/passionateteachingjourney.com\/?p=630"},"modified":"2024-04-23T12:12:13","modified_gmt":"2024-04-23T19:12:13","slug":"inclusive-learning-environments","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/passionateteachingjourney.com\/index.php\/2024\/04\/14\/inclusive-learning-environments\/","title":{"rendered":"Inclusive Learning Environments"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>To further examine the topic of developing an inclusive, safe, and positive learning environment and explain strategies or steps we may use to ensure all students are welcome to be part of the class community and discourse, we were to create a presentation that discusses\u00a0<em>stereotype threats<\/em>,\u00a0<em>growth mindset<\/em>, and\u00a0<em>addressing instances of intolerance<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All students can learn when assets and learning needs are the focus of instruction. We were to take what we learned from the assigned resources and conduct independent research to learn how stereotype threats and instances of intolerance might be demonstrated in our learning environment. On each slide, include\u00a0<strong>two<\/strong>\u00a0examples of how intolerance may occur based upon the type of identity and\u00a0<strong>three<\/strong>\u00a0strategies to address situations of intolerance directed at the specific type of identity in\u00a0<em>your professional learning environment<\/em>.
